K107FM and Love Oor Lang Toun are inviting local businesses to 'Get on board' and show their support for Kirkcaldy Foodbank during the town’s festive celebration, Lang Toun Lights, taking place on Kirkcaldy High Street on Saturday, November 29.
This year’s Christmas lights switch-on event will be more than just the flick of a switch, but a chance for the community to come together and make a real difference. Attendees are being encouraged to bring food donations on the day, with dedicated donation points set up along the High Street.
Now, businesses can join the effort by sponsoring individual branded boards that will be prominently displayed at high-footfall locations and drop-off points during the event. Each board costs just £70, with £10 from every board going directly to Kirkcaldy Foodbank.
Not only does this offer visibility during one of the town’s busiest events, but the boards are reusable, allowing organisations to repurpose them after the campaign. Businesses can order one board, or multiples
Local signage specialists The Sign Co have stepped up as the event’s official print partner, producing the boards and additional assets for the donation points. These will include boards for Kirkcaldy Foodbank with QR codes, enabling passers-by to make monetary donations if they don’t have food items to contribute.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to visibly support a vital local cause while being part of a truly community focussed event,” said Alex Airnes from K107FM.
"Let’s light up Kirkcaldy with kindness this Christmas and try to make sure that nobody in the Kirkcaldy area goes hungry."
