Local youngsters make donation to foodbank

Two kind-hearted local youngsters have donated food worth more than £40 to Kirkcaldy Foodbank.

Eight-year-old Roman Mackie and his friend Matteo decided to raise money for the foodbank and collected just over £40 locally.

Roman and Matteo went to Asda and used the money to buy tins of tuna, soup, spaghetti and hotdogs, as well as a few treats for children whose families rely on the foodbank.

They put all the items in the shopping trolley behind the checkouts at Asda which is used to collect donations made by shoppers to the foodbank.

Kirkcaldy Foodbank would like to thank Roman and Matteo for their efforts on behalf of less fortunate people in the community.
